Nadia Hashimi
Co-Founder & CEO
Nadia Hashimi is the CEO of S&N Consultancy and a former World Bank specialist based in Washington, DC. She holds a master’s degree in international policy and development, with a focus on education and social development. With over 20 years of experience, Nadia has led complex policy and program initiatives for organizations such as the World Bank and CARE, delivering actionable, evidence-based strategies for sustainable development.
Her core areas of expertise include policy analysis, cultural heritage protection, strategic planning, and capacity building. She is certified in project management, conflict resolution, and data analysis—bringing together analytical rigor and extensive field experience. As a trained first-aider for cultural heritage, she offers a unique perspective that integrates preservation with development goals.
Nadia is deeply committed to inclusive, locally grounded, and context-sensitive approaches to development. She currently leads S&N’s strategic and programmatic direction.
Sayed Tamim Hashimi
Co-Founder & CFO
Sayed Tamim Hashimi holds a BA in Business Administration, a Diploma in Finance and Accounting from the J.F. Kennedy School of Business in Canada, and a BA in Accountancy from Concordia University. With over 15 years of experience in international development and finance, he has played a pivotal role in managing complex, multimillion-dollar financial operations for both the Afghan government and international organizations.
As the former Finance Manager for the Afghanistan Stabilization Program—one of the country’s largest national initiatives—he was responsible for overseeing financial planning, monitoring, and the effective allocation of donor resources. He also served as Finance Manager at the Swiss Embassy in Kabul, managing the embassy’s financial operations and reporting for various development projects.
In addition to his financial expertise, Sayed Tamim contributes as a professional interpreter in Dari and Pashto for organizations such as Radio Canada, immigration and defense attorneys, and other key stakeholders. His language skills enhance his ability to facilitate communication in cross-cultural and multilingual settings.
Farooq Safi
Co-Founder & Country Director – Afghanistan
Farooq Safi brings a strong background in political science and over two decades of experience in monitoring and evaluation, policy development, and public sector reform. As the Country Director of S&N Afghanistan and a senior legal and compliance advisor, he leads organizational efforts on policy alignment, regulatory compliance, and strategic implementation.
He holds a degree in political science and a postgraduate qualification in international relations and development. Farooq has worked with both international organizations and Afghan government ministries, where he focused on evaluating legal frameworks, strengthening institutional systems, and ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
His work spans the full program cycle—from design and planning to implementation and evaluation. Farooq has led initiatives that build institutional capacity, improve governance structures, and drive sustainable reform. His leadership ensures that S&N’s advisory and implementation efforts are technically sound, locally relevant, and strategically aligned with client needs.
Foorqan Safi
Office Manager – Afghanistan
Foorqan Safi oversees the daily operations of our Afghanistan office, ensuring administrative efficiency and logistical coordination across all ongoing projects. He holds an MBA in Business Administration and brings several years of experience in management, IT logistics and support, training, and financial administration.
Foorqan plays a key role in the smooth implementation of local activities—from coordinating team efforts to managing operational workflows. His strong organizational skills and attention to detail contribute directly to the effectiveness and reliability of S&N’s field operations in Afghanistan.
Nargis H. Karimi
Translator & Social Media Marketer
Nargis holds a BA in Dari language and literature and plays a vital role in managing our Dari and Pashto translations. She also supports our outreach efforts by creating culturally aware, bilingual content for a variety of communication channels.
Nargis’s linguistic skills and cultural insights enhance our ability to connect with local communities, ensuring that our work is accessible and impactful across different stakeholders. Her experience in social media marketing strengthens S&N’s digital presence and engagement with broader audiences.
Jawad Safi
IT Consultant
Jawad Safi holds a BA in Computer Science and provides technical guidance and troubleshooting support to the S&N team. With a strong background in programming, network systems, and IT infrastructure, he ensures that our operations run smoothly and securely.
His expertise in system administration, technical support, and software development enables him to address complex IT challenges and keep our technological tools and communication platforms fully operational. Jawad’s support is essential to enabling our team to collaborate effectively across regions.
